Day 2 Wednesday St. Petersburg
Buffet breakfast. In the morning you will make a panoramic visit of this beautiful city including the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Winter Palace, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Church of San Salvador Bloodied, the Nevsky Convent and much more. In the afternoon you you have time for an optional excursion to the Villa de los Zares (Tsarskoye Selo) with the impressive Catalina Palace and the Amber Chamber. In the evening an optional visit to the Nikolaevsky Palace is offered with a folklore show included. Return to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 3 Thursday St. Petersburg
Buffet breakfast. In the morning you can take an optional excursion to the summer residence of the Tsarins - Petrodvorets. It is a wonderful place full of parks, fountains, monuments and above all the fantastic palace with its huge rooms, sculptures and paintings. In the afternoon you will visit the world famous Hermitage Museum. At night you can enjoy an optional Russian typical dinner at the Pryanosti & Radosti Restaurant. Accommodation at the Hotel.
Day 4 Friday St. Petersburg-Moscow
Buffet breakfast. The early morning is reserved for an optional St. Petersburg channel cruise. Around noon we go to the Moscow Railway Station and board the Sapsan high-speed train bound for Moscow. The train ride takes us through endless Russian landscapes along the River Volga. In the late afternoon we arrive to Moscow and check in at Hotel Azimut Smolenskaya**** or similar.
Day 5 Saturday Moscow
Buffet breakfast. In the morning you will have a panoramic visit to the city. The city was founded in the 12th century, built as a wooden fortress on the banks of the Moscow River to keep out the invasions from the east. Today is a modern city with fantastic avenues, green parks, maintaining its historic monuments and impressive buildings from past eras. The morning sightseeing tour includes the highlights of the vast city: the Red Square with St. Basil’s Cathedral, the Theatre Square with Bolshoi Theatre and Sparrow Hills with Moscow University and we visit the Kremlin grounds and one of the cathedrals. In the afternoon is offered an optional visit to the Moscow Metro including the historical stations on the Ring-Line and a guided stroll along the famous pedestrian Arbat Street. The evening offers an optional Moscow-by-night tour including an unforgettable river cruise with the White Flotilla. Accommodation.
Day 6 Sunday Moscow
Buffet breakfast. The day offers an optional full day excursion to the picturesque city of Sergiev Posad, where you will visit the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, the most important Russian monastery and the spiritual heart of the Russian Orthodox Church. The whole of Lavra has been beautifully restored for 700 years of celebrations of the birth of St. Sergius of Radonezh. Accommodation.
