This is the perfect trip for solo travelers! The tour operates daily, year-round. You can choose your travel dates and hotel category. The itinerary can also be customized to suit your preferences, perhaps with additional nights in Stockholm, Copenhagen, or Oslo. Please contact your travel agent for a personalized quote.

Depending on the time of year, the itinerary includes either the “Norway in a Nutshell” or “Sognefjord in a Nutshell” tour between Oslo and Bergen, with accommodations in Balestrand (*) or Flåm.

For your convenience, we will transfer your suitcases from Oslo to Bergen. Please pack a small overnight bag with a change of clothes for your night in the fjord region.

You will travel independently, with all transfers provided by private car and sightseeing excursions operated on a regular, scheduled basis.

Day 2 Copenhagen

Buffet breakfast. In the morning, within walking distance, you will go on a panoramic sightseeing tour of Copenhagen. You will be able to see the most important and attractive parts of this beautiful city, including the Little Mermaid and the picturesque area of Nyhavn. Overnight.

Day 3 Copenhagen-Oslo

Buffet breakfast. Almost full day at leisure - until 15.30hrs when you will be transferred to the Scandinavian Seaways pier. Board the ship for an overnight cruise to Oslo. Buffet-dinner on board. Overnight.

Day 4 Oslo

Buffet breakfast onboard. Upon arrival you will be transferred from the pier to the sightseeing tour of Oslo which includes the Vigeland Sculpture Park or to your hotel (depending on the starting time of the regular tour). If you are dropped for the sightseeing tour, the transfer service will drive your baggage to your hotel. After the regular sightseeing tour, you can have lunch or take a short walk back to the hotel for check in. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight.

Day 5 Oslo-Balestrand or Flåm

Buffet breakfast. Please leave your tagged suitcases at the hotel reception before 6:00 a.m. You may also do this the evening before.

Today, your independent “Sognefjord in a Nutshell” or “Norway in a Nutshell” journey begins, traveling from Oslo to Balestrand or Flåm - to Bergen, depending on your itinerary. We will provide you with an e-ticket containing all the necessary travel information before your departure.

Your day begins with a train journey from Oslo to Myrdal, where you will board the famous Flåm Railway to the village of Flåm. The descent through the Flåm Valley offers ever-changing views of snow-covered mountains, cascading waterfalls, and green pastures along the valley floor.

Flåm is located at the head of the Aurlandsfjord, one of the majestic Sognefjord's branches. Here, you will board an express boat to cruise along the Sognefjord. From Flåm, the express boat takes you to Balestrand, where you will spend the night at a local hotel situated by the fjord. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

(*) From October 1 through April 30, the express boat will not operate on the Flåm–Balestrand–Bergen route. We will arrange an alternative itinerary. Your overnight stay in Balestrand will be replaced with a night in Flåm. If no accommodation is available in Flåm, the journey will be completed in one day between Oslo and Bergen, with an additional overnight stay in Oslo or Bergen.

Important: Transfers are not necessary in the villages of Flåm or Balestrand, as distances are very short (no more than 100 meters), and you will be traveling with no luggage.

Day 6 Balestrand or Flåm - Bergen

Buffet breakfast. Enjoy a free morning to explore the area around your hotel, depending on which tour you are taking.

If you are taking the “Sognefjord in a Nutshell” tour, you will depart for Bergen by express boat, a journey of approximately four hours. Upon arrival in Bergen, a transfer will take you to your hotel in the city center.

If you are taking the “Norway in a Nutshell” tour, you will travel by boat from Flåm to Gudvangen, where you will board a regularly scheduled bus to Voss. In Voss, you will take a short walk to the train station to board the train to Bergen. Upon arrival in Bergen, a transfer will take you to your hotel in the city center.

Day 7 Bergen

Buffet breakfast. In the morning you will be introduced to this remarkable City of the old Hansa. You will enjoy the view of the Bryggen area of old wooden houses that is part of the UNESCO World Heritage, as well as the traditional Fish Market. Afternoon free to explore Bergen. Overnight.

Day 8 Bergen-Stockholm

Day 11 Stockholm-Helsinki

Buffet breakfast. Morning free in Stockholm. At approximately 15.00hrs you will have a transfer from your hotel to the pier, to embark on the cruise ferry Silja Line. The ferry departs from Stockholm and slowly travels down the glorious archipelago past numerous small islands. Dinner on board. Choice of entertainment, bars, shops and casino. Overnight.

Buffet breakfast onboard. Enjoy your buffet breakfast as you sail into Helsinki. Directly after you disembark you will be transferred to a 1½ hours panoramic audio tour of Helsinki. Famous sights include the Senate Square, Uspenski Cathedral, Parliament House, Finlandia Hall, Sibelius Park & Monument, Church in the Rock (if open) and much more. While you are doing your sightseeing, your driver will transport your baggage to your hotel. You can have lunch and take a walk in the city before you check in. Afternoon free in Helsinki.
